 New U Card (membership card)
 New Uplus Card (Credit/Debit Card)

There would be a change in the union membership card from the existing gold coloured NTUC Card to the new U Card. The change is in conjunction with the change of the NTUC logo. Membership benefits remain unchanged.

Union members who were previously holding onto both the NTUC card (your union membership card) and the NTUC Plus card* (the NTUC credit/debit card with OCBC bank) are the first batch to receive the new U card.

Union members who are only holding onto the NTUC Card will receive the new U Card in 2009. ESU will update members of when to expect the new U cards once we receive confirmation from the NTUC Link and Membership Department.

ESU Care & Share Day - Visit to Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home

On the 22nd Dec 08, ESU Exco, Branch Officials, staff and several family members went down to Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home for ESU's Care & Share Day.

It was a heartwarming sight as the volunteers handed out specially prepared gift packs to the residents of Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home as they chatted animatedly with the residents.  Many residents were cheered up to have people chatting with them and were smiling very brightly.  Other residents were in a nostalgic mood as they recounted the old days and thought of the past.

After which, all of us gathereed at the karaoke room and several branch officials took the lead to sing several oldies.  It was an enjoyable time as the residents clapped along and enthusiastic residents started dancing to the songs.  A high-spirited resident took over the microphone and sernaded two Cantonese songs to all present.  He remarked in Cantonese that "The mood was there".  We ended the session on a high note with a medley of Christmas, English dance hits and Malay songs.  It was indeed a fulfilling and heartening experience.

ESU sincerely thanks all volunteers and hopes to see everyone for the next ESU Care & Share Day.
