In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of May Wong Social Centre, the Chinese Women's Association (CWA) is organising a Public Seminar - "Ageing and Resilience" on Saturday, 28 November 2009 at Sheraton Towers, Singapore from 2pm to 5pm.

CWA will also be announcing the handover of the Home including Daycare Centre and Senior Activity Centre to NTUC Eldercare.

The Guest-of Honour is Mr Lim Boon Heng, Minister, Prime Minister's Office.

We have a new award this year for our members! 

The “ESU Lifelong Learning Award” is for ESU Ordinary Branch (OB) members and Directly-Serviced General Branch (DSGB) members who have pursued a diploma, degree or masters course in the following institutions – NUS / NTU / SMU / UniSIM / SIM / Seed Institute / MDIS / NAFA / LASALLE / MMI / NTUC LearningHub / First Learning & Training Centre.

The award is only applicable to members who have completed the course in Year 2009. Member must complete the course before applying for the award.

Factors taken into consideration during the selection process include academic results, household and per capita income, and length of union membership.

Attendance for successful applicants at the award ceremony is compulsory. The tentative date for the ceremony is 16 January 2010 at One Marina Boulevard, NTUC Centre.

Application forms which can be downloaded here must be duly completed and submitted with the relevant supporting documents (stated in Part III above) to ESU HQ by 10 December 2009, 5:00pm. Application form for the ESU Lifelong Learning Award is available in the first attachment.

Please also note that ESU also has an Education Incentive which is for self-funded NETF-approved courses. Application form for the Education Incentive can be downloaded here .
