NTUC Education and Training Fund Collaborative Fund (NCF) 

NCF aims to provide training support to unionised companies who send their employees (NTUC members only) for training programs that enhance their employment and employability. NCF co-funds training subsidy to support 50% unfunded course fees for companies (capped at $250/member/year) for their employees​​ who meet the eligibility criteria. ​A unionis​ed company can be supported up to $50,000 of training funds per year from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2022.

NTUC Industry Training and Transformation (IT&T)

NTUC Industry Training and Transformation works with unions and companies to utilise the Operation & Technology Roadmap (OTR) tool to support workforce and business transformation. OTR helps companies visualise how their business can grow and workers can transform by capitalising on the right drivers, products, services, and technologies. This process is facilitated by Industry Training Officers from NTUC IT&T and is done in consultation with union leaders, management partners, HR representatives to ensure win-win outcomes for companies and workers.

Opportunities by Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) 

NTUC e2i is the network for workers and employers seeking employment and employability solutions. A unionised company can be supported through the Job Security Council, which provides transition support to at-risk or displaced workers with career coaching, skills evaluation, access to training, job-search assistance and job-matching services to improve their employment prospects and match them into new jobs. There are also available grants and subsidies that a unionised company can tap on.

Here are some of the exclusive perks that you will receive as an ESU member: 

Progression – Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) 

Every ESU member can enjoy 50% unfunded course fee* support of $250 a year to defray the cost of training. Members aged 40 and above can enjoy higher funding support of up to $500 a year, for courses attended between 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2022. UTAP can be used on more than 5,000 courses listed online.

Privileges 

As an ESU member, you get to enjoy discounts from NTUC’s Social Enterprises such as FairPrice, Kopitiam, My First Skool and NTUC’s merchant partners. You may check your Linkpoints and redeem them online here. Your Linkpoints can be used to pay for your purchases at NTUC FairPrice where 100 Linkpoints = $1. 

You are also covered under NTUC Gift, a free group term life insurance exclusively for union members. All union members who are below 65 years old are automatically covered against death and total & permanent disability (TPD) of up to S$40,000. Union members’ spouses below 65 years old are also covered against death and TPD. Members who are 65 years and above may be eligible for extended coverage if they meet the membership tenure criteria. If you have misplaced your NTUC Membership Card and would like to request for a new one, do email to esu@ntuc.org.sg with the following details: 

– Partial NRIC (last 3 digits and alphabet) 

– Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)
